Excess In Prisons

In our country there is a Issue of Excess of Under trials in Prisons according to Ministry of Home Affairs the strength of Under trails in Prisons in India is very high as compare to Convicts & According to a English Newspaper The Hindu "Two-thirds of prison inmates in India are under trials" and Just because of that there is a excess of Prisoners in Prisons
So it is very Important to see that how we are going to Deal with this Government of India said last year that they are preparing a bill to reduce the strengths of Under trials which leads to less expenditure of Government and make prisons suitable
Hope that soon we are going to see any solution for this issue.

India needs such laws but there misuse should be stopped

Recently the supreme court of India has gave a judgement on sc/st act by saying that there be no automatic arrest on any complaint filed under the law and a preliminary inquiry must be conducted by police within seven days before taking any action.
