Why Nationalism became negative all of sudden in India

Some days back Gujarat archbishop calls for saving state from nationalist forces and save Constitutional and secular fabric of nation right from there a new controversy related to nationalism has started and this was a hot topic of debate and discussions in the media I don’t know media gives importance to these kind of news that can harm secular fabric of India. But from last many years I have noticed that many people are portraying nationalism as a negative word because it is been continuously used by that political party which is called as the Fascist organisation by the Left and secular Liberal fronts of India and here I thought that how a positive became a negative one. Is that is what we call politics.

Critics says that there were many bad examples of nationalism was seen in history in the Europe where Zionism Movement started by Theodor Herzl in 1896 he was an Hungarian Jew who was lawyer by Profession and this movement was started on demanded a separate homeland for the Jews which resulted in the Establishment of Jew state State of Israel in 1948 which is now an enemy nation of many Arab nations coz they believe that Making this land was a fraud by the Britishers and Americans one more example is there and that is of 1848 revolutions in the Italian states in which Italians of 3 Different states Austro-Hungarian, Papal States & Sicilly became one nation and that is Italy a land of Italians in 1848

But is it be a good thing to compare Indian Nationalism with the Europe when I started my thinking on that I listened to what Prof.. (Dr.) Rakesh Sinha, Associate Professor, Political Science, Delhi University said about nationalism he said “European nationalism was nationalism to nation but Indian nationalism means Nationalism from nation” so Indian nationalism shows that a nation comes together where all people from all different religions, caste and creed came together and fought for nation like it was happened in British Regime in India where the Centre leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, GK Gokhale, Pt. JL Nehru and Dr BR Ambedkar.

Right wing leaders like BG Tilak, Dr. KB Hedgewar, VD Savarkar

Communist (Left) Leaders like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandrashekhar Azad Fought for the one aim and that was of free India. There are many more examples that in 1942 when mahatma Gandhi called for “Do and Die” at that time nationalism of India was at peak and Indians were ready to Kick britishers out at that time many leaders like Dr. BR Ambedkar, MS Gowalkar, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookherjee, VD Savarkar & CPI leaders called for the boycott of the movement and they didn’t supported Gandhi and Indian National Congress but still when India got Freedom the patriotism of these people was not questioned today also they are been called Proud Indians because they boycotted Quit India Movement for political reasons not because they supported British moreover the Buerocrats who were working for British so long there were not been sacked from there Jobs that also Includes VP menon a beaurocrat worked for the Sardar Vallabhai Patel 1st Deputy Prime Minister of India.

So before getting to a conclusion it is very important to see the History of Nationalism In India and then only it is better to raise questions.
